The South Sedgwick Democratic Club, in collaboration with Friends University, will host a Democratic Primary Candidate Forum on Feb. 8 for the seat left open by Mike Pompeo.
When: February 8th, 2017 – Doors open at 6:15 PM; Forum between 7-8:30 PM
Where: Friends University – Alumni Auditorium – 3rd Floor David Administrative Building (clock tower)
Who: Open to public and press
All six Democratic candidates will be in attendance: Charlie Walker, Dennis McKinney, James A Thompson, Dr. Kevass Harding, Laura Lombard, and Robert Tillman
Dr. Russell A. Fox from Friends University will moderate the forum which will include questions surrounding Local and National Economy, Immigration, Civil and Women’s Rights, Farms and Agriculture, the current national political environment, and what they look to accomplish for the 4th District and Kansas.
Doors will open at 6:15 for the general public and press to speak to the candidates. Forum will begin promptly at 7 and end at approximately 8:30. Press and public will again have access to candidates. This forum is open to the general public and streamed live on various social media platforms (Facebook Live, Periscope). Mike Shatz will be in attendance taking photos.
