Last Meeting Before Summer Break!

This Thursday, June 9, is the last meeting of the Sedgwick County Democratic Women before our short summer break.

June 9 MeetingPlease plan to join us at the Machinists Hall (3830 S Meridian Ave) at 5:30 p.m. for a potluck dinner (featuring sandwiches from Artichoke) followed by the installation of new SCDW officers and short presentations from candidates for political office across the state.

So far we have 23 political hopefuls who have confirmed their attendance. IF YOU’RE NOT OUTRAGED BY WHAT IS HAPPENING IN TOPEKA, YOU ARE NOT PAYING ATTENTION! If you ARE outraged, then come and meet the people who will be challenging the Republicans who are diminishing our communities and threatening the future of our great state. If you can, support their campaigns with money, time and effort.

Also, don’t forget to bring your donations to ICT SOS for their Fresh Start Bags for victims of human trafficking.

Our next meeting will be in September, but there are many opportunities to stay involved in this crucial election year. We MUST replace those who would dismantle public education and eliminate services for those in need. That is not who we are.
